Give to OHIO Hockey
Who We Are?
OHIO Hockey was founded in 1958, originally competing independently where they won two Ohio Inter-Collegiate Hockey Association (OICHA) titles, before joining the NCAA in 1966 and Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) from 1971-1973. After the 1973 season, OHIO Hockey began competing as a club team both independently and as part of the Midwest College Hockey League (MCHL) from 1974-1990 where they won three MCHL titles.
In 1991 the American College Hockey Association was formed which is where OHIO Hockey has competed since then. Competing both independently and as a member school of the Central States College Hockey League (CSCHL) conference. Since then, it has rose to be one of the most decorated and respected programs in the ACHA. In that time, the program has won four ACHA national championships and eight CSCHL conference championships.
What We Do?
Beyond competing for a national championship every year, OHIO Hockey strives to better its student-athletes both on the ice and off it, emphasizing the importance of academics. The program is also deeply rooted in volunteerism and community outreach. Giving their time to organizations like Athens County Child Services as well as raising money for organizations like the American Cancer Society.
Why We Need Your Help?
With the financial impact COVID-19 has made on the university, OHIO Hockey needs your help. With a large part of our operating budget stemming from ticket sales in traditional years, fundraising will be that much more important this year to be able to provide our student-athletes with the best possible experience.
What Will Your Donation Go Toward?
Your donation will help us finance our trip to the 2021 ACHA National Tournament where we will be competing for our 5th national title which would tie the record for most championships in ACHA history.
